Hi everybody,
I would just like to briefly introduce myself as a new member to this forum.
My name is Kevin. I am from New Zealand. I am a farm Manager & my rifle of choice is a Sako M995 in .270 Win. I use it for everything we have here in NZ.

I have 3 Sakos and they are my favorites. Just go get an idea of what you are using that 270 Win for, what do you usually hunt and how much do they weigh on average?

Hi engineering 101,
I use my .270 mostly to hunt sika, & also the odd Red deer, fallow, & white tail.
A good sika stag will weigh around 180lbs with the hinds weighing around 110Lbs.
The reds are a bit heavier ranging between 3 to 400lbs. The .270 handles all these deer easily.
I have had this rifle since new & have got a lot of confidence in it
