Hello, my name is Kevin from the Charleston SC area. I am 100% new to the world of hunting. I bought a .17 hmr a few months ago and after the first day in the woods I was hooked. I didnt even get to squeeze the trigger. I think the peace that comes with being in the woods alone all day is the reason I cant stop going bag.
There is someting about the science of shooting that amazes me. With a .17 I dont get to reach out and touch like I would with a .338 but I still get to use the methods to a limited degree. For instance I poped a rabbit from right near 170m ( estimate). I any case Im hooked on shooting and since LRS seems more difficult, that is the route I am going to take.
