New Build 6XC or 6 Dasher

Thanks for all the insight, after speaking with my GS just ordered the Tubbs 6 XC reamer and now the rest of the parts ordering starts.

IMHO, if more energy is required at distance than Dasher can provide - then 6XC or larger. If not, Dasher can get it done. Disclaimer: yes, I have a Dasher LOL - but also a 6 PRC.

Seems like the new "kid on the block" and gaining popularity is the 6GT.
It is getting very popular in PRS - more powder capacity than BR family and less powder capacity than 6CM, fits in regular 308 mag, factory ammo available. 6ARC becoming more popular as bolt target cartridge too - poor man's BR with factory ammo available.

I built a 6 arc proof steel 26" comp, Impact 737 action and foundation stock. It does very well with factory 108's. I will be loading for it for next year. Shot a B&G Type A 18" gas gun with 108's today at a 10x12" pig at 1k today. 3 hits out of 5. Took a nice buck last year with the 108. It's a versatile cartridge that, like you mentioned is gaining steam. I think the availability is key.

I run the 6 br and 6bra so my vote would be for the dasher as it's super close. The gt is a great cartridge but nothing beats a br variant for accuracy, tuning, and ease
