Where i work we deal with a lot of super alloys and we just ate the bill on a batch of MP35N because when it came back from heat treat it had a tensile strength of 307,000 psi. Schlumberger requires a tensile between 225k-250k for this particular job and this batch was well outside of that.

This is the first time ive ever seen a metal hit a number that high and thought i would share.

Wow that is quite high. I deal with Mil-Std-46100 armor every now and then but that is about it.

Im not familiar with that spec. Is that an iron based alloy?
