Pretty good joke. The really great thing about guns and hunting/reloading gear and supplies is you can actually sell it for as much or more than you paid for it a few years earlier. That is definitely not true, of furniture, vehicles, golf clubs, boats, fishing gear, or much of anything else I can think of that can be used for recreation.
Most guys on here here have bought and sold a lot of guns over the years, and I would bet they are even to ahead, depending on how long they kept them. The exception is custom rifles, those depreciate badly.
I know I have wasted a lot more money on frivolous stuff, than I ever spent on guns, but a guy has to have fun or what's the point. You only go around once, and it is a relatively short ride.
