Any reason this would not work with a Rem700 footprint from another action maker?

It will work with all 700 clones, but there are small differences which might require sanding or slight dremel work when bedding.

For example, defiance have longer ejection ports, some bighorn have thicker tangs etc.

What is the weight?

I don't have a scale that will weight it accurately, but just adding it in hand on a bathroom scale it's about 2 lbs. 32 oz.
