Ok, here's what I'm thinking about:
* a case length that will come in at slightly shorter than 2.20" and a loaded length of about 2.85" max. I know that the .308's in Remingtons often come out to over 2.70" long. Round will basicly be a 30x55AI. What I'm seeking now is a magazine well that will take a 2.90" overall length round in it. Will this fit the magazine well of a short action Remington or a similar Savage? If it won't, then I may move to a 30x57AI in a long action.
