These are great range finders! I enjoy being able to program the flash card and use it in my 10x42 Geovids too. GLWS.

With the tripod mount it helps with the longer ranges. Trying to range a deer at 1,000yds plus is tough freehand. The range finder has a 7x magnification, so what I do is find a rock or tree next to or close to the animal and use it for ranging. I have ranged over 1,400 without issue.
