Selling my 300 win mag LAW rifle to fund a custom action for a 30 nosler project. The finish isn't flawless but still very good, it has been used and I did my best to photograph any blemishes I saw.
The rifle has been rethreaded 9/16-24 and I installed a PVA backcountry brake. It is very effective and really takes the bite out of it. Rifle as pictured weights 7lbs 2 oz with the brake and Talley rings installed. Think it's 6-15 without the rings. Comes with a Murphy Precision titanium zero moa pic rail and a second set of 30mm talleys. This rifle will push a Berger 215 at 2960 with RL26 with its 23-1/2 inch barrel. Data available to the buyer. $1450 shipped to your FFL in a cheap hard case. PM to discuss payment options. Would entertain trades +/- cash as needed for a light weight long action .532 bolt face custom action. Feel free to reach out with any questions or any other photos you'd like to see. I am a long standing Rokslide member and have a lot of positive references over there I'd be happy to provide.
Ben

Do you have any pictures of groups from the gun? I had a LAW 280 Ackley and I would have loved the gun except it had grouping issues (would always shoot 2 together and then third like 1.5 to 2" out). Interested but a little leery of the LAW guns after that experience.

I don't, i haven't shot it in probably the last year and a half. It was always plenty accurate. Shot most factory loads under an inch.

The 300WMs that they produced all pretty much were great shooters
I remember reading when I first bought this one that most of the issues came from the early 280AIs. This one shoots great, is throated long enough to properly seat a 215, and light enough to carry all day.

Noslers chamberings we're an issue… had more to do with lack of factory ammo available against a factory ammo guarantee… if the one or two offerings from Nosler didn't shoot into 3/4" they were **** outa luck… 280ai probably fell into the same bucket given the slim factory ammo offerings from Nosler only at the time… I also suspect there was a large group of buyers out there that just didn't know how to shoot a 6.8 lb magnum off the bench too… Not to say there weren't a handful of duds… but have seen way too many shooters and positives on the 300WM variant to believe what you have isn't a shooter… it's a hell of a good action too and love the 3 position safety… good luck with the sale…

I've got a custom 280ai built on a 704 action from when TL tech was building them. It's a hammer, although without the 3 position safety. CRF is real nice on these actions.

My dad has a 1st Gen professional in 300 win that HAMMERS with factory 180 AB trophy grade. Well under 1/2" at 100 without hardly any effort. It's a nice rifle.

Ladder test with RL26 and 215s. Never shot the nodes but I'd be willing to bet the upper level would stack together nicely. This barrel seems prettier quick. No signs of pressure in my rifle but your rifle may vary. Load carefully.
