Jeep Grand Cherokee Hood Surprise

So I popped hood to check oil. Yeah I know, old geezer only checks oil these days. As hood released, I dang near got stabbed in top of sneaker! WTHELLO is this? A cheap lock blade knife fell out of hood opening and I did Sasquatch jig to get out of way! So what is the story behind this? Did someone try to jimmy the hood open?

I received screwdrivers in the engine compartment and sockets and ratchet on the running boards.

So that is where my knife went. I have been looking for it in NC, and it somehow got all the way to Michigan. Must be something to do with solar flairs and global warming. I will try to be more careful. My bad.

Forgot to mention hood has been opened several times since the last oil change so no clue where this came from. No way any video of "the jig" will ever see the light of day...

Garage floor? Easy, bought wife a Greenworks 40V power sweeper.

Was working on old s10 blazer..used my orange rubber handle knife to cut a leaky vacuum hose....looked for it for a long time..couple years.......motor overheated and mechanic pulled the motor..found that knife..in a groove of the front axle somewhere.....stainless steel..open blade..not rusted........
Then I lost it again.....
