just change the bolthead on another rifle if you have a savage just make sure you get the correct head with firing pin dia, magnum cartridges need the small firing pin but it's not going to hurt if it's large, it will work. just make sure you have

small FP with correct bolthead
large FP with correct bolthead
it's very easy to do and when you screw the barrel in, you will headspace anyway.
you will need a long action of course and you can get the bolhead at Midway for like 20 bucks Savage made or you can maybe get the PTG bolthead witch in my opinion is a nice looking pc of steel just get the correct Firing pin they have those
to at Midway for like $5
there is a magnum bolt on Ebay for 135.00 I seen the other day
