Hunting with hunter class bench rest

I just learned about the hunter bench rest class. Does anyone hunt with a hunter bench rest setup? In theory it seems like a good rifle setup- durable, lightweight. 6x is a good all purpose optic, the McMillan hbr stock seems nice and lightweight. What's wrong with this idea?

The flat bottom on the fore end won't be very comfortable. Could always bed another stock and just drop in the barreled action for hunting. Cone bolt on most custom actions won't feed from the magazine.
