I’ll usually start with the bullet that I want to shoot. Like my 28 Nosler, I wanted to shoot the 195s out of it. So I bought a bunch of those. Then I heard about Hammers so I bought a box of those then I looked at some ballistics of the 180gr ELD-M out of 28 Nosler speeds and got intrigued, so now I have 300 of those to try. That’s typically the way things go for me. I want to use a bullet so I try that first, if it doesn’t work or I can’t find it I’ll try something close and go from there. So one is my answer then that grows if I can’t find a load or discover something that might result is something better.
