You have a ruger and I have a tikka. The little alarm system. A small rug/mop with legs and beady little eyes. She’s actually just been the best dog ever. Will be 10 this October. Was with us when we were a family of 2 and now as a family of 6. Loyal and brave to hell and back…but cursed with a small and somewhat frail body 🤣. A lion heart haha. Cross between a wire haired daschund (weener dog) and a jack russell terrier. A rodent killing machine when we go visit dad at the farm too haha! The cats have nothing on this cute little killer. Her back knee is prone to dislocating which is too bad cuz for the first 8 years of her life there was only one speed ever: full speed!!!! I don’t think she’d have ever backed down from a fight with a much bigger dog when she was young and stupid (a lot of men are like that too 🤣) - but one day a saintly patient Great Dane-coonhound cross (father in laws) calmly put her in her place by holding her head down under his paw until she calmed down. The whole time she’s snarling and the big old dog just looks like “oh dear God you’re embarrassing both of us” 🤣 Now she’s pretty mellow. Kind of sad in a way seeing the fire die down a little more each year.
