Hello all -

I've been reading posts from this website for over a year and have finally decided to register and participate.

I'm a novice long range shooter, but have ambitions of becoming proficient. Don't get me wrong, I can shoot and have always shot well and accurate, but I'm just not yet comfortable with long range shooting.

Notable rifles I currently have:

.338LM Remington model 700 (blue-printed and trued, receiver drilled and tapped 8-40 hardware) on an AICS type 1 chasis; premium stainless barrel, 1-9.36 twist for 300 gr. Sierra MatchKing bullets, AMU contour finished at 28 inches; 20 moa mount; 8.5x25x50 Leupold Mark 4 LR/T; Harris bipod; trigger set at 2.5-2.75 lbs; steel 20 m.o.a. picatinny base; wide 30mm tactical rings; TAB biatholon 3pt sling - Built by Jim Ruiz - Only had at range 1 time. Range only went out to 400 yards and it soon became obvious that this rifle needs more range space. Haven't really decided what I want to do with this rifle other than bang steel out as far as I can.

7mm Rem Mag Remington Model 700 on a JAE-700 chasis; factory 1:9 twist barrel; cerakoted barrel and reciever; 6.5x20x50 Leupold Mark 4 LR/T; Harris bipod; trigger set at 2.5-2.75 lbs; steel 20 m.o.a. picatinny base; wide 30mm tactical rings - Primary deer hunting rifle

Custom flat top AR15 5.56 with ASA upper (side charger) and GTO lower; 20" heavy stainless fluted barrel 1:7 twist; harris bipod; 6.5x20x50 Leupold Mark 4 LR/T - I intend to use this for prairie dogs when I finally get the chance to go.

I will continue to read and learn from these forums. If I have any specific questions I'll be sure to chine in.

Thanks,

Brad
