Hey from Tennessee, and need some info

Hi everyone I live in lafollette and enjoy hunting, but I'm having a little trouble I just picked up coyote hunting and have scouted a couple spots that show signs of coyote but have tried calling and never no respose and also I use cover scent when I go in. What am I doing doing wrong. And any pointers would be nice. And the area I scout is the north Cumberland wma area
