I'm new to long range shooting. I have been an avid hunter most of my life. On average the longest shot taken by myself while hunting is within 50 yards. I was introduced to a gentleman recently that has a 1000 yard range in his back yard. Pretty impressed, but was instantly hooked when he pulled out an AR-30 .338 Lapua and put five shots down range with consistent accuracy. That being said, I not in a position to afford new expensive toys. I am interested in making the most out of what I already have. The two rifles I currently have are both .308 caliber. One is a bolt gun and the other is a lever action. Thanks, and glad to be here.
