SOLD/EXPIRED Help me Out. 243 take offs?

Hey guys. I'm a highschool senior with a serious long range shooting bug, but all my extra cash is going into application fees for colleges.

If anybody has a Rem 700 takeoff barrel in 243 Win, I would LOVE it. I really want to try a 243 Ackley, and it seems that one of the 24 inch SPS takeoffs would work great.

Maybe one of the smiths around here has a few laying around and could kick one my way... I'd really appreciate it.

you would benefit yourself by a fast twist barrel for the 243AI .. shoot the heavies. Most factory barrels are 10 twist and limited to lighter weights. Of course it all depends on what you are wanting to do with it....

The SPS barrels are 9 1/8th... it was just a shot in the dark if someone had one laying around...

I would recommend looking for a PAC nor barrel they aren't to exspensive or a remind vls barrel I've got one set up and it shoots 95 smks super sweet.

If you do find a rem 9 1/8 twist the 105gr a-max shoots real well.

Not really in a position to buy a custom barrel.. good suggestion though I've heard great things bout PacNor
