Well I live in south alabama in a small town called semmes (a suburb of Mobile and named after the idiot who was putting the torpedoes in the water that caused Farragut to say "**** the torpedoes, full speed ahead". Since I am retired I have rekindled my interest in rifles and have 8 including a 257 weatherby, a 270 weatherby, a 300 weatherby, a 30-378 weatherby, a 220 swift, a 22-250, and a 243 winchester. If I can figure out how to get the money, I will purchase a 22-6 mm ackley improved that is written up in this month's American Rifleman.

Wish the most joyous holiday cheer to everyone.

Is the Blue Jay Restuarant still there on the causeway?

I worked for the Corp of Engineers, Mobile District back in 1973 - 1975. We would make a run down to Bayou la Batre and buy raw shrimp by the 50# bushel for a $1.00 a pound right off the boat. I am hungry just thinking about it.
