I started anticipating point of aim when very young.
I found that when attempting to hold smallest arc I was inconsistent.
When I found what a combination of anticipating the effect of breathing and timing of heartbeat did to observed point of aim I got much better.
For "most" of my rifles, when prone, it's a bit low left of intended and time the release to coincide with where I want to place the round.
From the bench it's more 6:00 low. Off hand it's a bit lower.
A conversation at the local range went on for hours when I brought this up. This produced two distinct opinions. "You're doing it wrong" and "Never quite thought of it that way but yeah..." .
The inbetweeners were " Never gave it much thought" and a minority.
