Rem 700 LA trued and lapped lugs
Bell & Carlson Medalist stock (full length alum bedding block) tan w/ black splatter.
Bedded and free-floated.
This has two interchangeable bbls: a 338-06 and a 25-06.

The glass: Although the pic's show the scope, the price is for the gun only. If you want the Warne 2-pc bases, let me know and I can make a good deal on that also.

History:
I bought it as a 338-06 and was able to identify that bbl as a Douglas XX match. It shoots 3/4 minute with 200 grain Hdy Interlocks, and a minute w/ 225 Accubonds.

The 25-06 barrel: I decided to try a take-off Rem bbl which I bought unfired and had my gunsmith install it. He trued the action before installing that bbl and re-blued the action, Ceracoated the stainless 25-06 bbl. That bbl will shoot 3/4 min with 117 & 120 grainers and I've had some 1/2" groups with 100 and 87 grainers, mostly Hornadys.

I used the 338 to kill an elk a couple years ago and the 25-06 has taken some whitetails. I don't shoot it much since my other guns see more use for LR competition.
It has had maybe 200 rounds down the tube. It is in near perfect condition. No dings or splits.

I'll take $850 and I'll pay the shipping as long as it's not to somewhere ridiculous (rural deliveries can double the shipping costs in some cases,) and I'll throw in a set of HDY Dimension dies and apx 100 rounds of braass (Rem and Winchester I think.)

These are sporter weight bbl's with ~.600" muzzle diameter

I'll upload some pics shortly.

Excuse my ignorance, how does the switch barrel concept work? I'm assuming that the headspace is preset and the barrels will only thread on so far?

It doesn't cost much to buy a barrel vise and an action wrench. I simply screw one off and the other on. Snug it tight and it's done. Head space is established when the barrel is fit to the action and chambered by my smith.

Okay guys. Consider the cost of buying an action, getting it trued up, bead blasted, blued and buy in a B&C stock. Also I failed to mention this has a Rifle - Basic trigger which adjusts from something like 6 oz to 1.5#. Those are $100. This is an older 700 action also, with tighter tolerences than the new ones.
(I'm about to talk myself into keeping it. Haha.)
