Looking into a Dall Sheep hunt and trying to decide on rifle and optics. Looking at the Kimber M8400 in .300 win(which is already 6#8oz) and wondering if the Nightforce SHV would be too heavy (already own the 4.5x14) but it is 30 oz. That'd put the overall weight before rings or a bipod at 8 lbs 6 oz.....
Would ya'll reccomend something lighter? I'm thinking the .300 because I would kill for the chance at a grizzly and could also use an Elk gun/already reload .300 as well...
