First mule deer in a long time.

I mostly bow hunt elk, and haven't had an opportunity at a good buck come through since 2010. I got invited to go out and look for a special deer at a special place during rifle. I said I'm on my way. A couple snowy mountain passes later and I was there. Had drinks at a local bar, and went to bed in time to wake up at first light.

We took a short drive into the hills and spotted some deer, about 100 does fawns and small bucks. Went and looked at a few other places, then found a stud. I literally had one day to hunt, so I took him. Myself and my buddy couldn't get him in the pickup without a come along. One shot from the 240 Weatherby at 120 yards. It was a fun trip like hunting was when inwas a kid.

That's a very nice deer and maybe one of the fattest deer I've ever seen! He must've fed in the Alfalfa feeds all summer!
