Finally drew a tag

After 24 years I drew a Colorado Ram tag in unit s12. I feel pretty dialed in with my 300 WSM. Have been working out and hiking with a heavy back every weekend. It’s so fun to buy all the gear to help build excitement. Headed to Colorado this weejkend to scout!
Anyone here hunted that unit?

Well I was successful! My trip was full of challenges: opening day blizzard, terrible roads, flat tires, breakdowns but 2 days before the end of season I harvested a heavy 9 1/2 year old ram. Pics to follow

I had a ram tag above Pagosa on the divide in 1995. Can't remember the unit number. Took a nice 3/4 curl ram (156 2/8) at 11,400 ft elevation in an avalanche chute. It rained a lot everyday after the opener so I lived in my Filson drover coat. Good luck. JM
