elka rea 161 colorado

Anyone have any experience hunting area 161? I just got invited to go with a group nov 2-9th for an elk hunt. Never been to that area so not sure what to expect. With an over the counter tag can I get a combo elk/ mule deer? I went to the CO Game and parks website but it is super confusing.

I believe that in order to get an elk and a deer..... 1) Purchase 3rd Rifle Season over the counter antlered elk Tag 2) Check to see if there is any left over licenses for that GMU for Deer.

Yep, bull tags are over the counter. Looks like there are no leftover deer tags, so you won't be able to get one of those.
