I've owned a McMillan A5, a regular T4, a T4A CF, EH1 CF, and MCS T CF. I didn't really have any complaints on my McM but until they can field a mini-chassis i doubt i will go back. I had $1300 tied up in my A5 by the time it was all said and done and couldn't sell it for anything, although bedding is specific so i get that. I've ordered two stocks directly through manners without issue. The T4A on group buy through SH and the MCS T for dad's gun. Both were finished on time (4-6 months). The EH1 and T4 i got through separate retailers. Fact of the matter is that McMillan offers nowhere near the feature set that Manners now has for the competition market, basically the integration of the mini-chassis and accessories that eliminates the added expense of bedding, yet doesn't give up all features to a chassis. The one issue i had with my T4A was that my Tempest didn't fit in the mini-chassis that well. Which is not an uncommon issue. Sent it to them they Milled out the chassis to accommodate it and then walked it over to GAP for me so they could polish the breaching ring. I've talked to Tom several times through that ordeal as well as when they accidentally sent me the wrong mag latch. Their customer service has been wonderful for me and most that i know seem to attest the same. The issue really lies in their production capability versus the demand. Much like typical smiths it seems some receive false wait times and to that end i understand their frustration.
