I took this rifle in trade a couple weeks ago. Round count is under 300 - original owner had shot approx. 250 rounds and I put 12 rounds down the tube. This rifle shoots lights out ! Shooting factory loads (50gr V-Max @ 3200fps) it will shoot a ragged hole at 100 yds (5 shots). Here is a rundown on the rifle:
222 Remington
Stainless 700 Action - action and bolt lugs trued
26" Stainless Benchmark Barrel - medium contour (slightly heavier than sporter) - 1-12" twist
Timney Trigger - set at a crisp 2#.
Standard BDL bottom metal
All metal cerakoted Black - bolt handle and shroud are cerakoted, bolt body and lugs are not.
HS Precision sporter stock - Black
Weaver Tactical base - 0 moa
This would make an awesome walking varminter or coyote calling rifle.
