As with most bullets, the correct shot placement is key.
With that said, these bullets work perfectly fine for hunting. I have not personally used this exact bullet, but I have used other Amax bullets for hunting and have some buddies that use this bullet in particular. We have all had great results with hunting and the Amax bullets.
