This began as Broughton 9-twist stainless blank. Originally, I had it chambered for this rifle in 300 WSM and fired 57 rounds. It didn't want to feed well out of my long action so I had my gunsmith set back and rechamber with a SAAMI 30 Nosler reamer. I also lightened the weight of the rifle close to 2# with a stock and scope and now I am just too big of a sissy to shoot it. It's had 11 rounds fired in it's current configuration. I am going back to my 264 Win.
The 11 rounds fired showed excellent accuracy potential with the 215 Hybrid and Retumbo.
Current measurements:
- 26.5" length
- 0.718" at muzzle, just behind the brake
- 2.5" of shank that is 1.20" (non-threaded)
- Threads on the receiver were trued so the tenon is slightly oversized
- Cooley brake is included
- It's got the remnants of the 300 WSM chamber engraving
No trades. Thanks for looking.
