The greater the distance the cartridge head travels before it impacts the bolt face the more torque or stress you apply to the lugs and the bolt face, same as the play in the lugs, threads etc explained in this article. I know it is somewhat complicated for the average shooter but it does make clear that slop, free play, tolerances etc clearly have an effect..</p><p></p><p>P.S. No where in here have I, or anyone else that I have seen made fun of, belittled or called you names. It isn't our fault you are wrong and don't want to admit it, or at least quit defending an indefensible position.
