For Sale: I picked up this Boyd's Prairie Hunter Thumbhole stock for my Savage 116 with the intent of pillar bedding it. I ran out of time before my elk hunt and ended up purchasing a different stock. I mounted my Savage barreled action in the stock but never used it. It's a beautiful stock and the inletting was perfect for my rifle with no adjustments required. The description from Boyd's is as follows:
This is for a LA Savage (5.06" action screw spacing) with bottom bolt release and DBM. My rifle didn't originally have a DBM, so I ordered it direct from Savage and it fit perfectly in this stock. DBM bottom metal is not included. This has the upgraded Pachmayr 1" recoil butt pad, standard 13 3/4" LOP, and is inletted for a standard sporter weight barrel. Condition is like new, as it never saw the field, just mock-up. Asking $110 shipped OBO. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking!
