I said I would never own a 270 wsm again. Remind me to never say never. Im embarking on a deal I can't refuse on one in short action. This will be my 3rd 270 wsm. Sold the first two. It's a 10 twist, like most. I got caught up in trying to run 150& 140s in the last two with mixed success. So this time, I'm going to try and run 130 to no more than 140gr bullets. I'm going to try and push the highest b.c. 130 grain bullets that I can find at a pretty zippy speed with Rl26. Went through retumbo, h1000. & 26 on the last 270 wsm and the rifle & myself liked rl26 best. My goal is trying to come up with a load/ bullet combo with 130s to cheat the wind as best I can. I know b.c. is not going to matter if it doesn't group well. Reccomendations for bullets please?

I always loved the 140 accubond in my tikka t3. Then I built another 270 wsm off that rifle for the 165 Maxtrix, And 126 hammers .I know you don't have the twist for those bullets but I would look hard at the 117 hammer hunter . I shot a 5x5 bull elk at 427yards one shot bull went 10yards with the 126 hammer thru both shoulders and exited. I get them to 3450fps with reloaded 23 also had my load development done in 13 rounds and and am good to 700yards . The 117 Hammers I know people running them at 3500-3600 FPS and being good on deer/elk to 550yards. Hope that helps
