Our instructors (Cody, Cody's wife LeRee, and John) taught us how to accomplish all of the various important tasks involved with the operation of a wilderness camp because most outfitters needed their guides to do a lot more than just guide. We were told by our instructors that guides generally got paid from $1200-3500 a month and if you worked hard and kept a smile on your face you would get good tips. It involves hard work, long hours and close to minimum wage, but if you love the outdoors you may just fall in love-give it some serious thought--life's too short.
