Hello,
I am in the process of getting parts together for a new build. My question is on pre-fit Carbon Barrels. Carbon Six offers a Pre-fit option and they will Install the barrel to my action. How is the accuracy compared to a blank and chambered by a gunsmith.
Does it change with them installing the barrel?

You never know the accuracy until you start shooting.
If they offer a pre fit to your action it would be no difference from you screwing the barrel to the action or a GS just as long as it is chambered correctly. If you have a barrel wrench and a barrel vice just go for it! You should check with a Headspace Guage for correct fit.
If you are purchasing a barrel from Carbon Six and they are going to fit for free. GO FO IT! They know what they are doing.
If you lived close to us, we would do it for FREE.
If doing yourself you need a Action Wrench and a Barrel Vise.
If having Carbon Six doing it for you you need to pay a FLL shipper or you might be able to send yourself if they take from a customer which you are so just postage cost which is less expensive that you buying a vice and wrench.
Any other questions send us a DM
Thanks

Thank you for replying. They charge $125 for barrel installation.

Well by the time you purchase a Barrel wrench, barrel vise, Headspace gauge it will be around the same cost what they are charging.

What cartridge do you have and what Action? Hard to believe that they are charging you to put their barrel on your action.
Before you do anything let's talk for your best option. Either way the shipping and costs for Wench & Head space gauge will get you. If we have the tools that you need, we can send to you, and you can do yourself. Just pay for postage to & fro.
DM us.
I am not busy but can't do anything due to some medical issues. Will try to help you out!
God Bless
