Looking for all components for reloading. My grandfather left me a pre war (.318) Mauser and I would like to use it for hunting this year. PFA. Its a Simson & Suhl. I find the history of this company very interesting.

Verry nice rifle in great nic!
Love the heritage and the fact it's your Pops.

Grab some PPU ammo, re-use the cases and rcbs make a good set of dies for the 8mm Mauser.
Projectiles range on size from .318 to .323 diameter, so measure your bore.

You can still get factory ammo for those, or you can easily buy bullets and brass. The .318 bullets are still made by Buffalo bullets, Hawk, Woodleigh, RWS PPU, and a few other European makes. Many of the J were bored out to .323 so they are i fact JS versions. You may want to mike the end of the barrel and verifiy the actual bore diameter before ordering bullets. The ,.323 ones are a lot easier to locate. Nice gun, best of luck with it. They are well known to be very accurate rifles.
