I will be purchasing a Weatherby Backcountry in 280 Ackley Improved. I am then going to have it reamed to 7mm x 6.5 RPM. I plan on shooting a 162 grain Hornady ELD-X. Does any one have reloading data to share? The case of the 7mm x 6.5 RPM will hold about 81 grains of water. A 7mm Remington Mag holds 82 grains. Could I start by following the low end charges for the 7mm Mag?
Should I use Large Rifle Primers or Large Rifle Magnum Primers?
Thanks for your help. (First Thread I have started on this forum)

I would start off with either the 7mm Rem Mag or, to be safer, even 7x61 Sharp & Hart data. Magnum primers at first, "maybe" try Standard LR later to "tweak"? It should be an interesting round anyhow! :)
