7mm mag and SST 162

Anyone have any luck with this combo?

Best I can do with it is a 3 shot 1.06" group @ 200 yards with 69 grains of h1000 and Fed 215M primer which I shot this morning.

Same session, 162 grain AMAX. 69.2 grains of h1000 gave me a .606" group at 200 yards.

Are they overly sensitive to seating depth? Right now I am .03 off the lands.

I'm loading 72grs H1000 and 7thousands off the lands. Shooting in the .2's with a MV of 2980 out of a 26" Hart. 162 A-max. Best group was 2 inches at 800 yds.

Strange my 7 wsm shooting the SST shoots great touching the lands. Its the 162gr A-max that's frustrating me. Where do you seat the A-Max ?

The AMAX at .01 - .02 off the lands works great for me.
