I would like to build a light weight rifle based on a 700 action. Rifle will be used primarily for deer hunting in rough to open terrain. I found out opening weekend that I am not as young as I used to be and hanging a heavy old 7 mag off a shoulder that messed up then walking 8 miles is a bad idea. Would like any ideas on a quality stock option for a number one contour barrel. 14" length of pull would be a bonus.

I've used many different stocks over the years and find I have the best luck with Bell&Carlson, with the bedding block
