Your best bet is gun broker. Its the only place I have seen howa's available. I have no experience with them. CZ's are really good but I believe they were discontinued. Also, if you want to put a scope on it, you will probably need to buy an aftermarket bolt handle which are around $60. They are the most expensive but shoot and cycle the cheap russian ammo very well. My nephew has one. I have a Ruger American which does not cycle russian steel cased ammo very well but does better with chinese steel cased ammo. I have heard the brass cased ammo works the best. I need to try it but I have allot of chinese ammo laying around which is why I bought it in the first place.

I can vouch for the cz 527s. I have one of the rustic Americans and they shoot. Very nice actions as well.

I also have a CZ-527, light & compact. I thought Ruger made a few.
Ruger makes the Ruger American in 7.62x39 which is what I have. They also made a m77 in 7.62x39 which was discontinued. Those go for over $1000 when you can find them. Cz is the best of the 3 commonly found (CZ, Ruger, and Howa).
