I bought this barreled action about a month ago thinking I wanted to switch from an AR platform to a bolt action for coyote hunting. Turns out, I am stuck in my old ways. Barrel has about 256 rounds through it. It shoots the 87 VMax nicely same for the 105 bergers.

Bighorn Origin Short Action
24" Proof Research Barrel (Savage Small Shank) Not marked for caliber but I confirmed via go/no-go gauge
Trigger Tech Primary
MPA Ultra Lite ODG chassis
2x Magpul 10 round AICS magazines
Vortex Viper PST Gen II 3-15 FFP MOA in Vortex rings
100 Alpha Munitions (LRP) 16ct 1x fired, 86 virgin but primed with CCI 200s.
RCBS 6mm dies

Happy to part this thing out as follows:
Whole Package- $2600
Barreled Action including Trigger- $1500
Barreled Action including Trigger + brass- $1600 (will throw in RCBS dies and 1.5-2 boxes of 87gr VMAX bullets)

Scope + Rings- $500

A few questions.

1) How much does it weigh?
2) How did it feed?
3) What is the barrel twist rate?
4) Was this action used with a different barrel?
5) what reticle in scope?

Great questions, I knew I forgot info.

9 pounds 8 ounces on my kitchen scale with scope.

1:7.5 twist

It fed great, no issues from accurate mag or magpul magazine.

I bought this action and barrel from another member here about a month ago. It looks like the action had been used on a different barrel due to some wear marks on the bolt.

I believe the reticle is the EBR-7C. It is FFP and has the open crosshairs with the dot in the middle.

Thanks for the answers! I have a Bighorn TL3 6.5 PRC/ 6.5 Creedmoor and love it. Was wanting a 6 Creedmoor, but will need to decide if I want to go with the Origin action.

Let's try some reduced pricing:

Some body is getting one heckofa great rifle in a wonderful, long range twist! I have 4, and 3 are in 1;8 twist and 1 in 1-7.5. It out shoots any 6.5 cal. out to at least 1000 yds. Easiest to reload I have ever done! I hope the buyer will be doing the "jig" dancing! Congrats to you both!
