Even on my KAC SR-15 LPR, the Silencerco ASR brake cuts my split times between shots when shooting cow-chasing/calf-killing dogs. Being able to hit one at the top of its bound and watch the flight path as the bullet 'dumps' the dog dead in its tracks is nice. 👍 Required, no. Ideal on a square range with other shooters, no. Out "in the field" doing real work with your rifle, super nice! Plus, it is nice for tossing a can on to cut the blast when you don't want to disturb neighbors with too many tours of duty in the sand piles of the Mid-East. In terms of accuracy, if your threaded barrel is not as accurate as your target crowns, you need a different person doing the threading or need to buy your barrels somewhere else. My friend who shot competition in the military complained he could not really zero my scope. He had a perfect square of 3-shots at each corner of the "box" with the bullseye in the center. Yep, each click on my ACOG walked the group to the four corners. That KAC/Krieger barrel will "shoot the lights out" and suffers no accuracy loss due to being threaded. And no, this is not a 1" bull barrel. Closest profile is generally a Ranger profile with it being a true mid-weight that swings exceptionally well and is super stable in my hands without being too heavy.
