20 xc with roughly 350 to 400 rounds through the barrel. ($2,200) It is shooting that 55 grain 20 cal berger At just under 3800 fps. During load development I shot a group with less than an inch vertical variance at 500 yards and a solid 2 inch group at 800 yards. I have shot multiple coyotes from 400-700 yards. I also got my first coyote triple with this gun. I also have shot a couple Texas whitetail. It is flat and incredibly accurate. It is 20 moa elevation to 1000 yards and is still going 1400 fps.

I have posted photos of the gun and groups at 500 and 800 yards. photo 1) gun photo with bipod is with manner stock and rem. detachable mag, 2) gun photo with bdl bottom metal is Greybull stock, 3) White target with two groups is a 500 yard and 800 yard group, 4) photo with paper target is 500 yards.

This gun is amazing and I learned to love the heavy high bc 20 cal. I have a couple small caliber rifles and need to move one. This one happens to be the one to move because it has no sentimental value like the others. I will for sure make another in the future. I will provide all load data and drop data to buyer.

Components:
Rem 700 sa
24 inch Benchmark barrel
Greybull stock or (manner eh1 28oz for addition $300)
Vortex viper 6-20 bdc
Norma brass 90 ct.

call or text if serious buyer 801-710-5653 I don't check this site often so best to respond to text or phone.

I had someone ask about barrel life. This gun is well taken care of. Was broke in properly and cleaned. I know of a few 20xc builds and they are still shooting less than .5 MOA at 1000+ rounds. With load data done another 600+ rounds in the barrel is a fair amount of shooting. Not a gun you would want to take on a prairie dog hunt as your main gun but it would be fun to stretch that 55 gr out on an occasion or two.

I'm not sure of the weight and my scale is packed away because were in the middle of a move but it's a number 4 24 inch barrel and if you buy it with the manner stock it's only 28 ounces where the grey bull is 2 1/2 pounds. It is a fairly lightweight rifle. It has been bedded and the action has been trued. The trigger is x mark set at about two pounds and I use Redding 6xc bushing dies. I would sell the dies but I have other builds that I use them for. Chambering and headspace was done by ss rifles.

The groups on the paper target where with the manner and the steel plate was with the grey bull. I like the 20 Cal because of the High bc of the 55 gr Berger. It has the same BC as the 75 gr 22 cal but I can push it 300 fps faster. I like the xc case because I get plenty of capacity to deal with moderate pressure and still get the speed I wanted. I like that the 6xc gets 3k rounder before barrel goes south and I hoped that would carry over some with the 20 cal. I know others that are north of 1000 rounds and still going strong. I also like the more square cases with longer necks. I'm a believer of getting more uniform burn rates in shorter fat cases rather than long narrow.
