Hey Tex,
Been looking for one in that cal. but would have to immediatly rebarrel this one. What kind of range can you get with that set up. I guess them bullets blow up anything they touch. Not criticizing it's just I need a longer reach than this.
It is a beautiful piece and I doubt it will last very long.

You too. Loading my 6.5x47 now for making a joyful noise at the range tomorrow.
Be patient. On the other hand you could just wear out that barrel shooting and then rebarrel with a fast twist hvy and then you will be set for long range. The tightest group for all the competitions at Williamsport (in 2010 or 2011, I think. You can check it yourself) was shot with a 6-6.5x47. Just sayin
