Out of my 6.5 creedmoors.
I've been shooting the Berger 130 H-VLD for awhile and find it a nice destructive varmint bullet for the likes of marmots, jack rabbit and coyotes.
Has anyone tried the Hornady 6.5 130 ELD-M on varmints?
I also shoot the Berger 140 H-VLD but it tends to pencil through varmints. Not sure if it's the lower velocity or if they have a thicker jacket.
I'm in the process of building up an 18" barreled 6.5 Creedmoor for a dedicated suppressed rifle and think the 130 class would be a good bullet out to around 700 yards max, more likely most would be inside 400 yards.
Don't want to go with a lighter bullet, want to keep a good bc bullet for the longer shots.
Thanks
