I would say you should be able to get 4000 to 5000 rounds out of it easily as long as you do not get it hot. My barrel is a Hart #6 with a 1 and 9 Twist and a 28 inch finish on a Rem 700 Long Action with a HS stock. As for reloading I seat mine 30 thousands off the lands and for pressure I go by the bolt if it sticks a little bit or is a litte harder to turn then normal I back off on the charge. I also go by ejector marks by the primer pocket if I start seeing indents or scratches I back off the charge as well. I would say if you want the speed I would go with IMR-4831 or R-22. If you find R-22 gives you the fps and Accuracy you need do yourself a favor and buy a 5lbs Keg and start your load over with that until you find it again. R-22 is a good powder for FPS and Accuracy but it verys so much from lot to lot. My two Bullets are the 95 Ballistic Tip and the 85gr Partition. With the 85 partition and 54 grains of R-22 I was getting 3775fps and a 3/4 inch group at 100 yards and a 1 1/4 inch group at 300 yards. Both groups were with 3 shots. That 85gr Partition really puts deer down even at 452 yards it puts them down. As for the 95gr Ballistic Tip with 52 grains of IMR-4831 or 53 grains of R-22 I shoot in the .2's at 100 yards and 1 inch at 300 yards again 3 shot groups. With the IMR-4831 with the 95gr I get 3512fps and with R-22 I get 3557fps but the IMR powder does not seem to be as temp sensitive so last year I used that. Last year I shot my buck at 478 yards with that 95 Ballistic Tip and he went down like a brick.

[QUOTE="dakor, post: 34925, member: 2204"] Iron Worker I have over 1000 rounds through mine and it still shoots as good as it did when it was Brand New but I do not get it hot and I make sure to clean it and I always use a bore guide. I would say you should be able to get 4000 to 5000 rounds out of it easily as long as you do not get it hot. My barrel is a Hart #6 with a 1 and 9 Twist and a 28 inch finish on a Rem 700 Long Action with a HS stock.
