375 ruger on K98 action

I am currently building a custom .375 Ruger on a K98 Mauser action.

is there anybody who have done a similar job as I would like to know what the optimum barrel length must be for this configuration?

I want to put open sights as well as quick detachable scope mounts on it. any suggestions on what to use here?
