Hornady case first time reloaded with 40.0 g of LEVERevolution. Federal 210 match primer. Hornady 200 grain flex tip overall cartridge length 2.515. This was shot in a Remington model 700 short action that I had built my question is I have split cases on almost all of those cartridges and I didn't think it was that hot of a load to split the case. Just wondering if any of you guys might have an idea what caused the case to split or is it just the case itself?

May be the brass. Looking at the Hornady load for the 35 using 200Gr bullet, the max load is 42.7. I'd start at about 37gr and work up to pressure.
