I am asking here in hopes that someone else has had the same idea and I don't have to spend tons of time figuring out where to start. First my gun: 300 Win Mag Sendero 1 in 10 twist. I shoot 210 gr VLD bullets at 2800 fps and its very accurate. My goal is to drop to a lighter weight bullet with a flatter trajectory for use in hunting whitetails out to about 350-375 yrds. Is there such a combination or is my twist rate limiting me to the heavier bullets? I would like to hopefully work up a load that can give me accuracy with a max point blank range of 400 yrds so I don't have to range and calculate each shot. I am kind of trying to duplicate the characteristics of my 243 that I use for coyotes. Thanks for any input.
