Getting started with a few of the newer powders available. Working with my 300 RUM and the 200 AB bullet (loaded .030" off the rifling) I put some RE26 to the test.
Here is what I got when velocity testing with my Oehler 35P:
82gr - 3,039 ft/sec
83gr - 3,056 (+17 ft/sec)
84gr - 3,071 (+15)
84.5 - 3,091 (+20)
85gr - 3,098 (+7)
85.5 - 3,137 (+39)
86gr - 3,137 ( 0)
Is there anything that can be interpreted from these velocity changes?
FWIW - 83, 84 and 85.5 grouped together at the 200yd line.
