While I'm not smart on all the numbers and stuff I want to say my smith was able to chamber my 30-28 by simply running the 30 Nosler reamer a little deeper. Basically to the depth of the 28 case but in the .308 barrel. It's been a few years and I'm not a machinist or a smith so I don't speak the lingo like many other. I feel the extra capacity helps get that 215 into that 3100fps node with a little less pressure. If you compare the 30-28 against the 300 prc in case capacity and performance they are so close. 30-28 could be a small margin more but could differ more from a fast or slow barrel on one or the other. I'm thinking the 30-28 has a slight bit more case capacity. Kris
